Processing third-party application files in proprietary format
Medical image files are sometimes exported from specialized clinical applications in proprietary formats. In addition to de-identification, this data typically requires transformation to a standard format like DICOM. In this case, data pipeline processing may include some of the following steps:
Downloading data created at clinical locations sometimes in proprietary clinical applications formats
Importing proprietary formatted data into clinical applications followed by exporting data from those applications in a non-proprietary standard format
Applying de-identification and transformation processing
Organizing results in the desired folder structure using specific folder and file naming conventions
Uploading or pushing the results to the desired target locations for analytics, infragistics, and machine learning initiatives
