Using probability theory and other techniques to measure a set of risks that are associated with sharing databases or data sets that contain sensitive personal health information for research and other useful purposes. Then, define a set or strategies that can be used to transform the data so it meets regulatory requirements and significantly reduces the risks associated with data sharing. Meet (remotely or on-site) two times each week with other qualified team members as part of an expert committee that is focused on analyzing the risks of sharing sensitive personal data with a defined target recipient(s). Then, work independently researching, documenting, and communicating the committee’s defined risk calculations and de-identification rules to clients. We will provide orientation and training for tools, industry standards, and the info incognito risk-based methodology for applying the HIPAA expert determination method.
Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Mathematics or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Statistics
  • Familiarity with HIPAA expert determination methods, data masking, anonymization, or de-identification is a plus
  • Passion for math & technology

  • Part-time 8–16 hours per week

Position Summary:
  • Use Agile methodology to plan and manage both internal and external client initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and quality assurance review of internal and external project artifacts and project deliverables, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage internal HIPAA and GDPR compliance initiatives.
  • Interview potential staff members and provide feedback.
  • Attend meetings with clients in support of client projects as needed.
Position Details:
  • Manage Info Incognito internal initiatives, including but not limited to:
    • Compliance initiatives and processes
    • Marketing initiatives and event planning
    • Client service offering development and refinement
    • Technology initiatives
  • Create and maintain project artifacts and deliverables, including:
    • Agile project management documents (EPIC, Backlog, Sprints, User Stories)
    • Requirements documentation
    • Process documentation and diagrams
  • Work with clients to understand and document their data de-identification and processing requirements.
  • Use Agile methodology and Agile templates to plan and manage internal company initiatives and external client initiatives.
  • Manage Info Incognito project team resources, including software developers, operations analysts, and leadership as well as math and statistics experts to complete the de-identification initiatives.
  • Manage external vendors participating in compliance, network security, marketing, or other supporting services.
  • Assist with creating project documentation deliverables. Following up with the clients to present deliverables and ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
  • Project management using an Agile approach is required (PMP certification is a plus).
  • HIPAA / GDPR compliance experience is required.
  • De-identification experience, including the HIPAA Safe Harbor method and HIPAA Expert Determination method, is a plus.
  • Experience working with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), RIS (Radiology Information System), or EI (Enterprise Imaging) is a plus.
  • Experience working with DICOM is a plus.
  • FHIR or HL7 experience is a plus.
  • EHR system integration experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and team skills are required.

  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and operational support for de-identification software applications that will be created for both internal use and external client use.
  • Provide consulting application development and integration services for internal and external initiatives.
  • Help evaluate new tools and technologies.
  • Attend internal weekly project planning and working meetings.
  • Attend meetings with clients in support of client projects as needed.
  • Provide mentoring as requested to internal resources.
Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics (computer science focus), or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), RIS (Radiology Information System), or EI (Enterprise Imaging) is a plus.
